As a supplier partner to Cummins Inc. and its subsidiaries, together we have an obligation to be a steward to the environment and communities in which we do business. This obligation extends to the source of raw materials and labour practices involved with sourcing raw materials used in components supplied to Cummins.
Recently, the European Union announced rules that aim to reduce the Union’s impact on global deforestation and forest degradation. The rules ban certain products from being placed on the EU market or exported from it unless they are from deforestation-free land and been produced in compliance with the laws of the country of production. More information on these rules can be found at the link below but you should seek your own independent legal advice to assess the requirements of the EU’s Deforestation Regulations (EUDR) and if and how you are impacted:
